What are the Bat Rules for Baseball?

What are the Bat Rules for Softball?

“The bat must be a softball bat which meets Little League specifications and standards as noted in this rule. It shall be a smooth, rounded stick and made of wood or a material tested and proved acceptable to Little League standards. What are the Helmet Rules?

“The batting helmets must be affixed with the NOCSAE symbol, be free of cracks or other visible damage, and all of the internal padding must not be missing, tattered, torn or frayed. Little League warns that altering the helmet in any form, including painting or adding decals (by anyone other than the manufacturer of authorized dealer) may void the helmet warranty and/or NOCSAE certification. Where do we play?

We will play at Hogan Park in Escalon for @ home play.

Away games are widely dependent on league availability. We may play any of the following during the season: Ripon, Manteca, Tracy, Mountain House, Westin Ranch, Salida, and Stockton.

Are there rules surrounding minimum playtime?

“At levels of play, every rostered player present at the start of a game must participate in each game for a minimum of six defensive outs and bat at least once. Six defensive outs is defined as “A player enters the field in one of the nine defensive positions when his/her team is on defense and occupies that position while six outs are made.” Bat at least one time is defined as “A player enters the batter’s box with no count and completes that time at bat by being retired, by reaching base safely and is retired by force or tag out; scores a run; or the half inning ends.”

If, within a game, a player does not meet those requirements, he/she will start the next scheduled game, play any previous requirement not completed in the prior game, as well as the requirement for the current game before being removed.” Click to learn more

What does the season look like?

Games will be scheduled for no less than 90 mins. and no more than 120 mins.

The season will last 12 games- with opening day march 7th and closing week of memorial day week. Post season play begins after.

What are the pitch count rules?

Can my child play travel ball & Little League?

“Individual players who play on Little League teams are also permitted to participate in non-Little League Baseball and Softball programs.

However, players who do participate in any non-Little League activity, and miss games or practices because of such participation, may be suspended or dismissed from their Little League team by action of the local Little League Board of Directors.” Click to learn more
